How US migration policies shaped Mexican migration to the U.S.A.

 

Season 2 begins with a conversation about migration across the U.S.-Mexican border since the early 20th century, and the role of policy.

Their conversation is based on D. Massey's recent article "Immigration policy mismatches and counterproductive outcomes: unauthorized migration to the U.S. in two eras" (2020) published in the journal Comparative Migration Studies (Open Access).

Douglas Massey is Professor of Sociology and Public Affairs, with a joint appointment in The Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, at Princeton University.
