The Center for Migration and Diversity at Eurac Research is hiring a researcher to conduct independent research in the broad field of migration studies. Migration research at the Center explores the patterns, processes, and the governance of migration and integration from the supranational to the very local, and from the institutional to the individual. We are a team of political scientists, sociologists, anthropologists, linguists, human geographers and economists committed to advancing scholarship on the effects of migration and human mobility on our increasingly interconnected and plural societies. By engaging with both the local and the global, the theoretical and the applied, our interdisciplinary team has a unique perspective on how and why migration matters for all of us. Eurac Research (https://eurac.edu) is a private research organization based in Bolzano/Bozen, Italy. Our research institutes and centers are seeking answers to global challenges through interaction between a variety of disciplines: keeping societies healthy, fostering intact environments, promoting sustainable energy and developing well-functioning political and social systems. We develop concrete solutions for regional problems which can then be applied globally. The candidate complements the research at the Center for Migration and Diversity with his/her own research foci. The selected candidate is expected to collaborate closely with researchers working within the Research Center, as well as with other researchers within Eurac Research.
